Datong City is located between North latitude 39o30′to 40o44′ and East longitude 112o34′-113o33′, in Northern Shanxi Pro., that is the North Entrance of Surrounding Bohai Sea Economic Zone as well as "Golden Triangle" of juncture of Shanxi, Hebeing and Inner Mongolia. It is 375 km away from Beijing to the east, and 335 km away from Taiyuan, the Capital city of Shanxi Pro., to the south.
